For my third Emerging Technolgoies assignment I decided to do a scrapblog. I love scrapbooking in my free time (when I have the money), and this was not nearly as satisfying as cutting the pictures and placing the stickers, but it has the same result, and I put it to music. It was definitely A LOT less messy and easier. I used scrapblog.com to complete this and it is about my little sister Sarabeth.
On the website you can change the pace of the slide show, but when I embedded it onto my blog, it doesn't give you that option. So you can either go through each slide by itself or you can just pause it at each slide. There is music, but it's not need to view the slide show. Enjoy!

Emerging Technologies 2
For my second Emerging Technologies Assignment I decided to do picnik.com. I am part of a scrapbooking committee for an honor's program I am involved in, and love pictures and editing them and arranging them in beautiful ways. Picnik.com allows for easy beautification of pictures. I find this website to be much easier to used than any photoshop program I have used. However, photoshop does have a lot more to do to a picture, but picnik.com has the simple things that work for projects I do.

This is a picture of my friend Katie and I at her first NBA game. Here's an example of the simple fixes picnik offers that makes a picture so much more beautiful. There's more life added to the picture. There's a blemish fix (which I love the most!) and a teeth whitener. For this picture I also used the "boost" effect, which gives it a brighter more lively look.

Here is a picture I did after my graduation. On the left is my mom and I, in the middle is myself, and on the right is my dad and I. Picnik allows you to change the style of the picture, in the sense of color, for example, in this one I used black and white. Also, there are different frames available so that you can do something like this.

Here is one of my boyfriend Jameson and I at a superbowl party. One of the cool things Picnik allows you to do is color in a certain portion of the picture where you want to show the color. It gives you a curser and you pick where you want to see the color. I picked blue for the Colts. Also, you can add fun text to the pictures with shadows and different fonts.

Here is one of my friends Amanda, Alexandra, and I. This one is an example of the boost, black and white, a fun frame, and fun text all in one. You can find cute quotes online to add to pictures of friends and family that fit best for you!

Here is a picture of my friends Taylor, Katie, and I in biology. I used the sepia feature along with fun texts. I found the quote on some website I found on google!

Here is one with my brother Conor and sister Sara.

Katie and I again.

My boyfriend Jameson and I.
As you can tell I like the black and white feature with text on top. With the first picture in this section of three, you can see a heart in the upper right hand corner and with the last picture you can see a heart in the lower right-hand corner. Picnik has many differnt "stickers" as they call them to spice up your pictures. With every holiday they have themed "stickers" and frames to make your pictures holiday themed!
I hope you guys enjoy picnik.com as much as I did!
